Since we started writing blog posts, the number of visitors to our site has increased significantly. This means that we save a few hundred euros per month that we would have spent on advertising.

Of course, it wasn’t like that from the beginning.

When we started our company, I thought about writing blog posts, however, everyone told that people don’t read anymore and that it’s better to pay for advertising instead of spending time writing.

If I had known then what I know today, I would have started writing blogs from the very beginning.

Today I will share with you 6 reasons why you should have a business blog.

1. Supports your email marketing

In this post, we will not talk about how important email marketing is for branding and sales. If you are interested in this topic, read our blog post: Everything you need to know about email marketing as a beginner.

If you write 2 to 4 blog posts per month, this means that you will have 2 to 4 emails that you can send to people on your email list.

Such emails are very rewarding because they give people useful information that they will be happy to read.

If you have been writing for a long time, you will be able to send previously published blog posts as well as, for example, the most popular blog posts in the “last three months” or “this year”…

2. Supports your social media

By the same principle as with email marketing, blog posts can be shared on social media. On Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, you can post a link to the blog post with a short description, while on Instagram you can create a few images based on the blog post and post them as a carousel.

If you write regularly, this way you can fill one of the two “mandatory” social media posts per week without any additional effort or thinking about what to post. In the end, again, you will have quality content.

3. Help with SEO optimization

As you know, a website by itself doesn’t mean much to you if nobody visits it. Successful companies invest hundreds and thousands of euros in advertising on a monthly basis – depending on the size and activity of the company, as well as how valuable their products/services are.

Blog posts can save you a good part of that money because they practically work as free advertising. You have to do the technical part well, of course, but we’ll talk about that in another post.

If we only look at SEO optimization through text, keywords, and meta descriptions, blog posts will play a big role in attracting new visitors to your site.

4. Advance your marketing strategy

This mostly applies to paid advertising on social media. Advertising a business offer, if people haven’t heard of your company, is a very expensive and difficult task. Especially if the product in question has a higher price.

You will have visitors to your site, but the probability of a sale is very small.

Instead of immediately offering your services or products, you can advertise a blog post where you will present the solution to their problems through your products and services, but also briefly introduce the company.

It probably sounds like a waste of money to you, but if you think about it realistically, it takes a few contacts before the actual sale. It is better for people to first get to know your company and for you to offer them exactly what they need through a few interactions, rather than offering them something they have never heard of.

5. Helps with communication between you and your clients

It certainly happens to you that potential clients ask a lot of questions about your products or services. If you’ve been working for some time, you’ve probably noticed that some questions repeat themselves.

Instead of answering the same questions over and over again, you can write several blog posts as detailed answers to those questions and simply send them links to read.

This will save you a lot of time, and at the same time, it will improve the quality of your answers to those questions because the answers will no longer depend on your time and mood.

It happened to us specifically that a client contacted us to make a website for her. During the conversation, she said that she regularly reads our blog posts and that it helped her make a decision.

When you regularly publish quality content, it shows that you are serious and professional, which means that you are a reliable company. People will be more likely to choose to cooperate with you than with your competition.
